NEW COORDINATOR OF YOUTH MINISTRY AND CONFIRMATION
Brittney La Vigne, grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she was active in youth ministry at her parish from middle school on. She then went on to serve two years with N.E.T. Ministries where she met her husband, Robert. Brittney and Robert have been married four years this August. Brittney is finishing up her degree in Psychology at St. Catherine’s University, as well as working part time at Classical Conversations, a home school-co op in Lakeville, Minnesota. When Brittney is not working she enjoys reading, playing guitar and exploring all that Minnesota has to offer. She is extremely excited to get started here at Immaculate Heart of Mary, in helping our youth and young adults to develop a deeper relationship with Christ.
On Wednesday, November 30th, we plan a trip to the History Theatre in St. Paul for the musical performance of Orphan Train.
From 1853 to 1929, over 100,000 orphaned children were shipped by rail from the slums of New York City to farm families in the Midwest. This stirring folk musical brings to life the struggles and joys of the children who landed in Minnesota and the families who took them in. This History Theatre classic will tug at your heartstrings and entertain audiences of all ages with humor and love.
Cost is $25 per person plus the cost of a bus TBD. The play begins at 10:30 a.m. and will run about 2 and a half hours. Lunch will follow at a restaurant nearby.
Because of the great demand for tickets, they have added this Nov. 30th date to their schedule and we have reserved the last 40 tickets available. Please register your name with Pam,
952-935-1432, as soon as possible. I hope you can join us! S. Eleanor
